Vintage Camera Display Sept 20121876 viewsFrank and Andrew Hardman will be displaying their fascinating collection of cameras and equipment, including Thornton Pickard cameras which date back as far as 1800s.

Thornton-Pickard was a famous British camera manufacturer established in 1888. The company was based in Altrincham (near Manchester) and was an early pioneer in the development of the camera industry.

On left replica of 1st diesel engine ever built, on right the 3rd ever built in the world1863 viewsReplica of Diesel's engine that was built in 1897 and is considered to be the first diesel engine. It had been preceded by two experimental motors in 1882/93 and 1894. However, they did not work satisfactorily.
